How to personalise your Lindt Easter bunny for FREE at Sainsbury’s
FOR an Easter treat with a twist head to Sainsbury’s stores where you can pick up a personalised Lindt gold chocolate bunny.
Customers who buy a bunny in selected stores can get a FREE red ribbon collar personalised with a message of up to 23 characters (including spaces).
The printing service is available for Sainsbury’s customers who purchase either a 50g (RRP £1.50), 100g (RRP £3) or 200g (RRP £5) bunny in selected stores across the UK.
There are 57 stores participating with the pop up personalisation service available between 10:30am and 3:30pm on selected dates.
You need to buy your bunny at the usual tills and then take it – along with your proof of purchase – to one of the pop up stands.
You’ll be asked to write out the message or name on a card provided and then your new ribbon will be printed and attached to your treat in a couple of minutes.

Don’t leave it too late though, if you arrive to get your personalised bunny after 3:30pm, you won’t get a ribbon.
And if promotional stocks run out, the service could end earlier.
Write your message down carefully too, if you make a mistake and hand it over, Sainsbury’s says it won’t give you a replacement.
And be warned, there are only two free personalised ribbons per customer, so if you’ve got three kids you’ll need to bring a friend to use one of their allowances or their could be tantrums at home!
If you’re buying a bunny for the adults in your life, be careful what you put on your message.
The supermarket has said it will reject any names or words it deems to be in “bad taste”.
You need to be over 18 to take advantage of the offer in Sainsbury’s.
Are the Sainsbury’s Lindt bunnies a good deal?
While Sainbury’s is offering free personalisation, you could end up spending more on the bunny than if you’d shopped elsewhere.
For a 50g gold Lindt bunny, the lowest cost we could find was £1.50 at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
So shopping at Sainbury’s to take advantage of the offer won’t cost you any money and you may as well get the personalisation.
The 100g bunny is currently on sale at Sainsbury’s for £2.50 (down from £3), but it is not clear whether the sale price will run through the promotion.
If the deal has finished you’ll have to spend 50p more to get your bunny at Sainsbury’s than you would at Ocado, Tesco or Asda.
The 200g bunny is also on sale at Sainsbury’s reduced from £5 to £4.
If the deal stops before the promotion and you have to pay the full £5, then you’ll be paying more than Asda, Morrisons, Ocado and Tesco who are all selling the bunnies for £4 as standard.
So even though the personalisation is technically free, you’ll be paying 25 per cent more for the chocolate than you need to.
Is there another way to get a personalised bunny?
If there isn’t a participating store near you, you can’t make the promotional dates, or you don’t want to pay higher prices – don’t panic.
Lindt offers the same personalisation service via its website also completely free.
All you need to do is upload the receipt to show you’ve bought the bunny, write in your message and then Lindt will send you your special ribbon.
It doesn’t matter where you get your chocolate treat, so it’s worth checking mysupermarket.co.uk to see where you can find the best bunny offer.
You get a slightly shorter message – 20 characters – but you can get up to four personalised ribbons per household.
Online ribbons do not include a bell, so Lindt says you should keep your original bell to attach to your personalised ribbon.
And while the Sainsbury’s promotion says it’s only available for over-18s, Lindt will let anyone older than 16 take part.
The offer only runs until April 14, so you’ve got just under two weeks to get your personalisation sorted.
You can now buy a Nutella chocolate bar and it sounds delicious.
Shoppers can snap up Cadbury White Mini Eggs on Amazon and eBay – but it’ll cost you.
Pets at Home is selling Easter eggs for dogs, cats and rabbits – and prices start from £2.
